NC Mom’s in Bloom
Led by a licensed therapist who is also a mom, the group blends peer support with professional guidance. Each session focuses on a specific theme relevant to the motherhood experience—such as identity, stress management, mom guilt, relationships, and self-care—while leaving room for open discussion and shared experiences.
Information
· Weekly sessions (60-70 minutes). Wednesday’s 6:30pm-7:45pm Or Saturdays from 12pm-1:15pm
Each session:
Check-in/Rules– brief sharing about how everyone is doing. Also go over group rules
Topic/Psychoeducation– therapist introduces and facilitates discussion utilizing Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Inference-Based-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), & Somatic Experiencing
Group Discussion– members share experiences, reflections,
Closing & Takeaway– grounding exercise, reflection, or homework.
